About Us

The Equipped Centre is an Autistic-led agency offering Therapy services. We started in 2019 as an expansion of the famous charity K-equip Trikes & Bikes. We offer dynamic, progressive and Neurodivergent-Affirming therapeutic approaches and support services to Neurodivergent people, who may also have co-occurring disabilities. Our Directors are Autistic and more than half of our board and staff are Autistic or Neurodivergent. 

 

Our therapeutic goal for everyone we work with is to help you or your child achieve self-understanding to live your best, most authentic and happy life. We promise to always act in the best interests of our clients, enabling you to find your personal sovereignty and agency over your own life, including the service we provide to you and the role we play in your personal journey. We do not use or support therapy approaches that are generally considered harmful by the Autistic and ND community. We do support the Autistic pride and ND acceptance movement and believe that all people have the right to pride, safety, acceptance and self-actualisation.

 

Wherever you are on your ND journey; just starting out with a new diagnosis or newly diagnosed child, or many years into your ND discovery, we are here to meet you where you are at and join you in where you want to go.
