K-Equip

K-Equip Ltd was established as a charity in 2015 with the primary aim of working with individuals with a disability to enrich their lives and facilitate capacity building, in a holistic and personalised manner. Originally creating and providing modified bicycles for individuals with additional needs, K-Equip identified and filled a glaring gap in the disability sector. Consumers are typically referred by their therapists for an initial consult, where the individuals’ needs are identified and explored. Modifications are then designed and a bicycle fitted to allow the individual to access the activity in a way that they would not normally be able to. This facilitates community inclusion, capacity building, physical fitness and wellbeing and provides another meaningful activity that the individual can engage in.
